A team of UM graduate students will describe their experiences in public history, including partnerships with the National Park Service, historic sites, and museums.  They will reflect on what they have learned about the role of historians in the wider community, and the challenges and rewards of doing history collaboratively.  They will also consider how the skills they have acquired along the way have enriched their academic training. This workshop is presented in conjunction with the Public History Initiative of the Eisenberg Institute for Historical Studies.
