U-M EEB faculty, staff, students, and postdocs will meet to discuss racial/ethnic and gender diversity in our department.
EEB plans to hold a town hall meeting on racial/ethnic and gender diversity in our department this January 25, with all EEB faculty, staff, postdocs, and students encouraged to attend. Please fill out the anonymous form that was emailed to you to suggest topics you would like to be discussed at the meeting. An outside facilitator will consolidate ideas and raise as many as possible at the meeting. If possible, please try to submit responses by January 15.
For now, we would like to know what issues and concerns you as grad students would like to have discussed at the meeting. We will have an outside moderator to guide the discussion. However, this is your opportunity to (a) anonymously raise any issue that you feel is important but do not want to raise in person at the meeting itself, and (b) help the moderator know in advance what issues are important to EEB grad students.
We want to know what you as grad students think would be most important for the whole department to discuss. Please follow the link below and provide your input! All responses will be anonymous.
Thanks very much and let us known if you have any questions,
Your Diversity Committee Reps,
Jordan Bemmels, Amanda Meier, Beatriz Otero
