NextProf 2018

The NexProf Science Diversifying Academia Future Faculty Workshop will be held at the University of Michigan, April 30 - May 3, 2018.

The workshop is geared for postdocs and advanced graduate students. NextProf Science participants will 

  • learn about the faculty search process 
  • get individual feedback on research, teaching and diversity statements
  • receive practical advice on applying and interviewing for positions
  • hear from faculty who build diversity into their successful academic programs
  • share in conversations with diverse scientists and mathematicians

Confirmed speakers include Keivan Stassum (Physics & Astronomy, Vanderbilt), Mary James (Physics, Reed), and Sari van Anders (Psychology and Women’s Studies, UM).

Travel, lodging and meals are covered for all participants. Open to U.S. Citizens and permanent residents.
