Scholarship Opportunities

Our goal is to help our scholars excel through providing opportunities to enhance academic and professional success, sense of belonging, engagement with faculty, overall wellness, and community citizenship and leadership. One way we help our scholars accomplish their goals is by providing unique scholarships to help them gain critical experiential opportunities like studying abroad, obtaining internships, and much more.

Scholars that have successfully completed their first year of Bridge Scholars PLUS are eligible to apply for two scholarships thanks to the support of our generous donors. Read below to learn more about each scholarship and what is needed to apply.

Active members of Bridge Scholars PLUS have the opportunity to apply for scholarship funding to assist with a study abroad, internship, or experiential learning program during the spring and summer terms. Scholarships can only be applied to University of Michigan programs like GIEU, GCC, Camp Davis, Semester in Detroit, and New England Literature Program to name a few.

Scholars that apply for the scholarship are eligible to receive up to $4,000 in funding. Because study abroad programs, internships, and experiential learning opportunities costs vary, there is no one-size-fits-all amount we offer, and we review every application individually. Scholarship awards will vary depending on those program costs and a student's level of financial needs.
