On Wednesday, February 13, Assistant Professor Horowitz will be giving a Physics Colloquium entitled "Thermodynamic Limits far from Equilibrium" in West Hall 340 at 4:00 pm.  Then he will be giving a similar seminar for Applied Interdisciplinary Mathematics (AIM) on Friday, February 15, in 1084 East Hall "Thermodynamic bounds on far-from-equilibrium fluctuations and response". (If you are not available this week, Jordan will also be giving a talk at Oakland University on April 11!).

Just prior to his January 2019 start date at Michigan, Jordan was honored as the first recipient of the American Physical Society 2019 Irwin Oppenheim Award.  The prize was the first APS award established by a Physical Review journal.  READ MORE HERE.
