Each year the Department of Comparative Literature invites graduating seniors across the University of Michigan to participate in the Senior Prize in Literary Translation. This prize is intended to encourage undergraduate students to develop projects in translating into English a literary text originally written in another language. This year, students submitted translations from nine different languages and in a variety of forms including prose, poetry, and screenplays.

The Department of Comparative Literature is pleased to announce the 2017 translation prize winners!
