Graduation Information

Annual Commencement Reception

The Program in Biology hosts a commencement ceremony at the end of winter term during which students will have their names read and walk across the stage to receive a certificate.  RSVP information for commencement ceremonies are sent to graduates in mid-March, and a general schedule of events is published below for public viewing. In order to participate in the ceremony, students must have a graduation date from the previous fall term through the following spring/summer term. Program in Biology ceremonies are held on Friday and Saturday of the University's commencement activities. University calendars are published here for pre-planning purposes. Request a Major/Minor Release Online

Major/minor releases can be requested without an advising appointment for students who meet the following criteria:

1. Declared Program in Biology or Neuroscience major or minor
2. LSA Online Audit Checklist is error-free

If these apply to you, you may request a release online (no appointment necessary).
