VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: SEAS is Looking for Volunteers to Help with Upcoming Conferences (Aug. 23-25 & Oct. 11-14)
We are looking for door monitors and volunteers for our upcoming conferences:
FLARE (Forests and Livelihoods: Assessment, Research, and Engagement) Network Meeting: "FLARE at FIVE"
August 23-25, 2019
2nd Annual Sustainability and Development Conference
October 11-14, 2019
Door monitors would be responsible for making sure conference participants are able to enter buildings during the times when university doors are typically locked.
Volunteers would serve as members of the Conference Resource Team. The Resource Team p lays a critical role in ensuring the conference takes place smoothly. A variety of roles are available, including materials preparation; set-up and oversight of the check-in/information table, poster area, and presentation rooms; building access management; session time-keeping; and more. Team members will be able to interact with a diverse and prominent group of participants, listen to session presentations, and gain experience in meeting coordination. A monetary token of appreciation will be provided, and those who work at least 2 full days will be invited to join the meeting dinner and/or be provided with lunch.
