Festival Footprint is an annual 21-night music and arts event held in Ann Arbor that presents over 90 musical acts, movies, activities for kids, adult learning events, and more.
Currently, the festival is working on an initiative to reduce our carbon footprint by going zero-waste in the next few years! We are seeking volunteers to help us carry out the Festival Footprint Initiative, and we’d love to have Ecology and Evolutionary Biology students volunteer with us!
Volunteer shifts are available from 5-8 pm and 7:30-10:30 pm each night of the festival (Tues-Sun June 14-July 7, 2019). Volunteers will be stationed at waste receptacles throughout the festival grounds (located at Ingalls Mall in Ann Arbor), helping festival guests determine whether their waste should be recycled, composted, or sent to the landfill. This will help ensure that our waste streams are not contaminated and can be properly managed. Volunteers will be trained on-site the night(s) they are working. We are happy to sign off on volunteer hours if students need them for school or other commitments!
