The Arctic Internship Fellowship provides funding for select University of Michigan students to complete a summer internship at one of the following: The Center for Military and Strategic Studies at the University of Calgary (CMSS); the Inuit Circumpolar Council-Alaska (ICC-AK); or the Labrador Institute, Memorial University of Newfoundland.

Undergraduate students at the University of Michigan, from any department, are eligible to apply. Grants of up to $2,000 to will be awarded to a limited number of students. Funding can be used by the student to pay travel and living expenses. Priority will be given to applications from students with an interest in or working on topics related to the Arctic region, and related to the work of the host institution. Students graduating in WN/SP/SU 2015 are not eligible to apply.

Inuit Circumpolar Council-Alaska (ICC-AK): Policy & Advocacy for Indigenous People, Economic development & Social Services; Health Issues related to Climate/Ecology

Labrador Institute Memorial University of Newfoundland: Anthropology, Archaeology, Climate Change, Ocean Science, Policy surrounding Conservation & Protections of Labrador Ecosystems, First Nations History & Rights
