The Department of Astronomy is excited to announce that Assistant Professor Emily Rauscher has been selected as a 2019 Cottrell Scholar by the Research Corporation for Science Advancement (RCSA). This honor is bestowed each year on individuals who are identified as leaders in integrating science teaching and research at top research universities or undergraduate institutions in the U.S.

The Cottrell Scholar program is designed to foster synergy among early-career scholars in chemistry, physics and astronomy, and lead to further advancements in science and technology. Each recipient will be awarded $100,000 for academic endeavors.
