Pre-Health

Welcome to LSA Pre-Health Academic Advising

The information on this website is not meant to take the place of meeting periodically with a health professions advisor. Every student should work with an advisor to develop and then continuously evaluate an individual academic program that will meet personal goals.

For information about academic preparation for any of the healthcare professions, including medical school, dentistry, pharmacy, physician assistant, public health, optometry, nursing, and many more, consult the health professions advisors in the Newnan Academic Advising Center, College of LSA, 1255 Angell Hall.

Staying in Touch

Call 734.764.0332 to make an appointment. We look forward to helping you reach your academic goals.

If you are currently working with a prehealth advisor, feel free to email them directly if you have a question. If you have yet to meet with a prehealth advisor and would like to email them a question, please do not email all of them. Instead, send your question to ask.lsa.advising@umich.edu and your message will be forwarded to a prehealth advisor.

The LSA Newnan Advising Center maintains a Pre-Health Newsletter to share news and information about medical school, pre-health student orgs, job opportunities, and more!
You can add yourself to this mailing list or unsubscribe from it by visiting the Newnan Pre-Health Newsletter MCommunity page. You need to be logged-in to MCommunity to do this.

Pre-Health Office Hours

Meet with Pre-health advisors from the Newnan LSA Academic Advising Center to address any and all of your questions.  Office hours are run on a drop-in (no appointment is needed), group based format, so bring questions you don't mind asking in front of your fellow students.  You can stay 5 minutes for one question or hang out for longer, as you please.  All UM pre-health students (regardless of the school they're in) are welcome!
