About
Mary serves as primary support to the Chair and provides high-level administrative support to the Department. She is the departmental contact for matters regarding:
- Chair’s Calendar, Committees, Regular Correspondence, Zone Mentoring, Professional Award Nominations
- Departmental Budgeted Faculty and Executive Committee meetings: schedule, proceedings and historical records
- Administration of tenure-track faculty and Collegiate Fellows procedural due process in Recruitment, Appointment, Review, & Promotion; liaison to LSA Academic Affairs
- Management of departmental tenure-track faculty business for:
- Sabbatical and Leave requests
- Tenure Clock Exclusion requests
- Tenure-track faculty Annual Reporting (FAR)
- Visiting Scholars and AC Affiliation Requests
- Digital Fileroom, content and co-administration
- Departmental Portal content under the Faculty Tile
Mary is a founding member of LCAP, the LSA Core Administrative Professionals networking and mentoring group, and regularly serves as consultant and mentor to her counterparts in LSA departments. She is a recipient of the LSA Rising Star Award and the LSA Outstanding Individual Employee Award.
Mary is a former docent and past President of the Board of Associates at the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology. She is a part-time student taking U-M classes in cultural and archaeological anthropology.
