Congratulations to Kris Klein Hernandez. Kris has been awarded a Ford Foundation Dissertation Fellowship in the History competition from the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine. This summer he will be in residence in the Department of History at Bowdoin College. He has also received a MMUF Dissertation Grant from the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation.

Congratulations to Kat Whiteley, who will be a Visiting Fellow in the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Science in 2019-2020. Prior to that, her work in the archives will be supported by a Woodrow Wilson-Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Travel & Research Grant and the Newberry Library's Susan Kelly Power and Helen Hornbeck Tanner Short-Term Fellowship for PhD candidates and postdoctoral scholars of American Indian heritage.

Congratulations to Kyle Frisina. Kyle has been awarded a graduate student fellowship at the Institute for the Humanities for 2019-2020, during which the Institute's theme will be Immigration and Migration. She has also been accepted into the Sweetland Dissertation Writing Institute.
