About
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Provide administrative support for the directors of graduate, undergraduate and translation studies, primarily with recruitment, advising, and maintaining student records
- Serve as the initial point of contact for all current and prospective graduate students
- Coordinate the admissions and recruiting process for the PhD program
- Manage budgeting, accounting, and financial transactions; track financial commitments to graduate students and present funding options to the director of graduate studies, department chair, and chief administrator
- Provide curriculum maintenance and support for the undergraduate and graduate programs, including course advertising, and revisions to degree programs
- Serve as the department liaison for academic and student issues with Rackham Graduate School, the Literature, Sciences, & the Arts Dean’s office, Registrar, Benefits office, and Newnan Undergraduate Advising Center
- Participate on the department’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee
- Manage the hiring process and provide support for Graduate Student Instructors (GSIs)
