About
Areas of responsibility: Provide a full range of administrative support for both the Graduate and Undergraduate programs in Comparative Literature. Serve as department liaison for academic and student issues with Rackham, LSA Dean’s office, Registrar, Benefits office, etc. Maintain graduate student records; audit graduate student progress and degree requirements; manage fellowships and financial awards including travel awards. Coordinate graduate admissions process; provide support to faculty admissions committee. Manage graduate student recruitment visits. Organize graduate student orientation program. Coordinate and process GSI appointments. Organize and coordinate planning and creation of time schedule for Comparative Literature courses. Solicit course descriptions from faculty and enter into online LSA Course Guide. Assist faculty with course advertising and classroom requests. Serve as department contact for undergraduate majors. Train and provide support to faculty undergraduate major advisors. Provide routine advising to undergraduate students; manage course evaluations, grade sheets, grade grievances and class lists; monitor enrollment. Enter concentrations & minors in Mpathways; enter advisor assignments in LSA online student files. Submit course approval requests to LSA Curriculum Committee in online program.
