Undergraduate Research Day

Many Communication and Media majors choose to conduct reasearch in collaboration with our faculty at some point. On our annual Undergraduate Research Day we recognize the work of our undergraduate researchers and their advisors. 


9AM - 11:45AM: Senior Thesis Defense, North Quad, 5th Floor Conference Room 5450

Students and advisors discuss the theses produced by students in our Senior Thesis Program

12PM - 1PM: Lunch

Lunch served for presenters and faculty/staff participants immediately following senior thesis presentations 

1PM - 2:30PM: Undergraduate Research Showcase, North Quad 2435

Research poster presentations by undergraduate majors, mingle and refreshments. Open to the general public.

Poster Dimensions/Submission

Poster Dimensions

32" x 40"

Landscape and portrait poster orientations are permitted.

Poster Submission

Students will submit their posters to Poster submissions is due no later than 12am Sunday, April 12th, 2020. Posters MUST be submitted in PDF format. Any other format will not be accepted. 

*Posters must be submitted with the following title:

LastName_FirstName_COMMUGshowcase (ex. Carlsson_Sofia_COMMUGshowcase)

**Students who cannot make the deadline could be responsible for their own poster printing and payment.**

  • Communication and Media department's logo can be used. Please be sure to ask your research mentor for approval before using any logo or image.
  • The University Seal should not be used on any research poster. 
  • The approved Communication and Media logos can be found below. 
  • Outdated logos found through web searches should not be used.
