"The Communication and Media Department has played a particularly significant role in shaping my Michigan experience-- from building strong connections with peers, faculty, and staff to developing my research, analytical, writing, and public speaking skills! With so much love for Comm, the experience that has influenced me above all is my involvement in MCMP. When I first arrived on campus, I knew I wanted to get involved in my major. Off-handedly attending a couple of MCMP events turned into an E-Board interview, and today I am the VP! I work with a wonderful team that is as passionate as I am about making MCMP the best it can be. We are currently revamping everything from the newsletter to how we get to know members, and it is paying off! Although it is a club, the amount of research, teamwork, and extra hours we are putting in has not only enhanced every single tangible skill learned in our major but is not far from the projects we will encounter in the workplace in the “real world.” Additionally, MCMP has opened my eyes to what lies in the intersection of Comm in other areas and provided some amazing friendships!"

Future Plans: Currently, I am hoping to go into a role that will allow me to capitalize on my passions for project-based work and building community and culture in the workplace. Ideally, Human Capital Consulting. Later in my career, I would love to come back to a University so I can give back and work with students a mentor-- whether as a visiting professional, alumni, or advisor!
