About
Katz is a PhD student at University of Michigan’s Department of Communication and Media. He is interested in the formulation of meaning and its role in different processes of communication. His research inspects the popular conceptualization of peace in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as well as instances in which meanings fail, by looking at nonsense in digital memes. He holds a B.A. in International Relations and Communication and Media and an M.A. in Communication and New Media Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Currently he is also working on a poetry book entitled "Sous Chef Sushi Samurai".
