The Department of Communication and Media offers many kinds of events, most free and open to the public. We organize and sponsor numerous lectures, workshops and conferences over the course of the academic year. Our programming covers a wide range of topics and features presenters from diverse disciplines and is designed to foster an understanding of the mass media and emerging media.

Brittany Hapner, Senior Vice President at Jennifer Todd Pictures

Brittany Hapner currently serves as Senior Vice President at Jennifer Todd Pictures, where she oversees a slate of film and television projects for the company. Brittany was a Co-Producer on the recent Warner Brothers film THE WAY BACK, starring Ben Affleck, which was released in March 2020. Prior to Jennifer Todd Pictures, Brittany worked at Pearl Street Films, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s production company. In 2017 and 2018, she was a Coordinating Producer on both the 89th and 90th Emmy nominated Academy Awards with host Jimmy Kimmel for ABC. In 2016, Brittany was an Associate Producer on the Warner Brothers film LIVE BY NIGHT, directed by and starring Ben Affleck.

Brittany completed her MBA at the UCLA Anderson School of Management in 2018, and she also holds a BA in Communication Studies from The University of Michigan, and a MFA in Motion Picture Producing from the Peter Stark Producing Program at The University of Southern California. Brittany currently resides in Los Angeles and is originally from Marietta, Georgia.
