The Department of Communication and Media offers many kinds of events, most free and open to the public. We organize and sponsor numerous lectures, workshops and conferences over the course of the academic year. Our programming covers a wide range of topics and features presenters from diverse disciplines and is designed to foster an understanding of the mass media and emerging media.
Throughout her career, Lisa has inspired brands to think differently about their approach to integrated marketing. She has a career history of building impactful, sales driving cross-channel marketing programs through a relentless focus on the consumer and their constantly shifting behaviors. It has been through the advancement of digital strategies, the transformation of overall marketing mix investment, and strengthening the connection between brands and consumers through personalized communication, Lisa has been able to lead brands to next level marketing.
Prior to joining Hostess Brands, Lisa was Sr. Director of Media at Conagra Brands as well as the Director of Media for Walgreen’s Boots Alliance. Lisa has also held leadership positions at AOL, Digitas and Starcom MediaVest Group driving integrated marketing activation strategies for high profile brands such as P&G, Kraft Foods, Kellogg’s, and Sears.
Lisa has earned both personal accolades and professional awards on behalf of her clients, including a Gold Effie in 2011 for Best Media Idea for Kraft Foods’ “Real Women of Philadelphia” and being recognized by Brand Innovators as best ’40 Under 40’. Lisa holds an MBA in Marketing from Loyola University Chicago Graduate School of Business and BA’s in Psychology and Communication Studies from The University of Michigan. She resides in Chicago, IL.
