The Department of Communication Studies offers many kinds of events, most free and open to the public. We organize and sponsor numerous lectures, workshops and conferences over the course of the academic year. Our programming covers a wide range of topics and features presenters from diverse disciplines and is designed to foster an understanding of the mass media and emerging media.

The Center for Entrepreneurship, the Michigan Association of Communication Studies and are excited to invite you to a groundbreaking one-of-a-kind conference we're hosting on campus on April 5th entitled Women, Entrepreneurship & Social Change.

This conference brings together female innovators, investors, and CEOs to showcase the largely untapped potential of women as leaders, trailblazers and enforcers of social change. This will also be a great networking opportunity for students.

The conference is from 8:30 AM to 2 PM, but you may attend any portion of the conference. Breakfast and lunch are provided; booths showcasing sponsors, speakers and products from local female-owned businesses will be present.

Registration: Admission is free but registration is required.
