Celebration for the Publication of "The Codex of Justinian; A New Annotated Translation with Parallel Latin and Greek Text"
A reception was held at the 2017 Annual Meeting for the Society for Classical Studies, in Toronto last week, for the publication of The Codex of Justinian. A New Annotated Translation with Parallel Latin and Greek Text. (Cambridge University Press, 2016).
Professor Frier is the general editor of the three-volume work, and is gesturing (in the picture to the left) towards Justice Frank Blume, whose unpublished translation dating to the 1920s was the basis for the new edition.
