Dr. Thomas Parker is with North Carolina State University, and received his degrees from Trinity University and UCLA (Ph.D.). His area of specialization is the history and archaeology of the Roman Empire, including the Roman army and frontiers, Roman Arabia, and Roman pottery and economy. He was Director of the Roman Aqaba Project in Jordan from 1994 to 2002, and is currently the C-Director of the Petra North Ridge Project.
