- City: Alicante
- Term: Spring
- Instruction in: Spanish
- Requirements: 3 semesters college-level Spanish.
In recent times, Alicante has experienced a development boom and rapid population growth. Although fast becoming a cosmopolitan and multicultural city, Alicante retains a distinct Spanish flavor. With sites like Alicante’s spectacular beaches and the ancient fortress of Castillo de Santa Barbara, students will find themselves captivated by the various attractions around the city.
On this new and exciting Maize Away in Alicante, students will have an opportunity to complete their final semester of Spanish on this 4-week, 4-credit intensive program.
Students will get to see in-person modern architecture alongside historic buildings, and shopping malls next to centuries-old open-air markets.
The program is led and taught by UM Lecturer Raquel Gonzalez.
