Granada is known for its unique historic, artistic, and cultural heritage. Surrounded by the Alpujarras mountain range and only 2 hours from the coast, the relaxed lifestyle of this small, urban environment makes Granada the perfect place to live and study. Students will learn from a U-M Spanish instructor and receive 8 credits to complete the LSA language requirement. This Spanish 230 program is very intensive— both Spanish 231/232 combined into just 6 weeks. Students complement coursework with excursions to help them learn more about Spanish culture. Explore a famous Alhambra and Generalife, or take aFlamenco dancing workshop. Meet with friends in the afternoons aftersiesta to do homework and have some delicious churros y chocolate. Living with a host family will help students improve their language skills.
