Nestled in the heart of Basque Country and home to the Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao is an ideal location to study policy and law. Students are conveniently located in northern Spain and a short train ride to France. Students will have the opportunity to explore independence movements not only in Spain but in other regions of Europe. With a strong focus on field-based activities, students will interact with pro and anti-independence political leaders, policymakers, and activists. Additionally, this program has excursions to Barcelona, the French Basque Region, and Scotland. Towards the end of the program, students will choose an independent study project to explore the hottest issues in Europe related to their own interests.
