Study in Geneva, a hub of international organizations, including UN agencies, the Red Cross, and the World Trade Organization. Geneva’s international environment offers a unique opportunity to meet leading experts and academics at international organizations and research centers.
Students will develop networks with leading experts working at international organizations, academic institutions, and research centers. They will also examine intergovernmental, supranational, and regional organizations’ strategies and responses to current security challenges in the international system.
Semester: Earn 16 Michigan in-residence credits in courses such as International Relations and Multilateral Diplomacy (3 credits), International Security, Peace, and Stability (3 credits) French Language courses (3 credits with various levels offered), Research Methods and Ethics (3 credits), and an Independent Study Project (4 credits).
Spring: Earn 9 Michigan in-residence credits in courses such as French Language courses (3 credits with various levels offered), International Studies and Multilateral Diplomacy Seminar (3 credits), and International Studies and Multilateral Diplomacy Project (3 credits).
Note: French courses offered within this program cannot be used to meet the LSA language requirement for French. There are two separate M-Compass brochures for the Semester/Academic Year & Summer.
