Experience French language and cultural immersion in Grenoble. Students have the unique opportunity to take a 200- or 300-level course taught by a U-M faculty in addition to coursework with a local instructor. Courses focus on topics related to French and Francophone studies; this program is a great segway to a French major or minor. Students participate in many course-related site visits in Grenoble and stay with host families. Examples of previous group activities include visits to the Bastille by cable car, cheese tastings, and visits to local museums. Past day trips have taken students to Lyon, Chartreuse, and Annecy. This program can also be taken with our French 230 program, which together totals 12 weeks. U-M Lecturer Eric Beuerlein will be teaching 270-level French and U-M Lecturer Sabine Gabaron will be teaching 350-level French.
