Examine issues including food security, nutrition, sustainable agriculture, community health needs, and slow food culture while living in a 13th-century estate. Students won't spend the summer months sitting in a classroom on this program! Studying food security and nutrition in Tuscany allows students to delve into topics such as sustainable farming practices, development policy, public health, and more with a local and global lens. Participants will have the unique opportunity to learn directly from a local farmer as part of this hands-on experience. This program also offers a 3-day excursion to Rome.
