Designed for students with an intermediate or advanced level of Russian, this intensive language program offers a broad range of academic and cultural immersion. Depending on academic and extracurricular interests, students can choose from three program sites. Each city has distinct regional characteristics with numerous opportunities for immersion in both language and culture. Intermediate students are encouraged to study in Yaroslavl, while advanced students can select Irkutsk or Moscow.
Single-semester students generally take 4 classes plus a special topics course. Course options vary by location, but can include Russian language, literature, culture, politics, and history. An internship option is available for advanced level students. On-site staff assist students in facilitating individual activities and organizes excursions to cities and regions of historical and cultural interest. Students stay with a Russian host-family as well.
