All instruction is in Spanish, 300 and 400-level courses are available, and students can take a combination of courses at the program center and the Universidad de Compultense de Madrid. A 400-level internship and other volunteer opportunities are also available. Throughout the program, take part in excursions in and around Madrid and to other parts of Spain.
Summer: Spend a summer in Madrid, Spain’s largest city, earning 6 Spanish credits at the 300-level and experience this vibrant city at its fullest. Madrid is a leading cultural center in Europe and home to many world-famous museums including the Prado, Reina Sofia, and Thyssen- Bornemisza. Living with a host parent or family will give students the chance to practice their Spanish outside the classroom and provide them with a deeper connection to Spanish culture. During the summer, participants can take advantage of the many cultural activities offered through the program such as cooking, dance classes, and sport activities. Regardless of individual interests, Madrid has something for everybody!
There is not an internship option for summer. There are two separate M-Compass brochures for the Semester/Academic Year & Summer.
