As one of the most cosmopolitan societies in the world, Buenos Aires is known as the “Paris of the Americas” for its sophistication and culture. There are unparalleled opportunities to enjoy such as theater, music, films and museums, and lots of tango! Students can complete their third- and fourth-semester LSA language requirements in Argentina, where two semesters and 8 credits of coursework are condensed into 6 weeks taught by a U-M Spanish Lecturer. Students will have a chance to participate in an intensive Spanish language lessons and enjoy unique field trips to areas of cultural and natural significance. On this program, they will stay with a host family, which will give them an opportunity to gain confidence in their Spanish and learn what an average Argentinian day looks like!
