Argentina boasts the highest number of psychologists per capita than any other country in the world, making it one of the best places to study psychology! This immersive experience will provide students with many opportunities for comparison between the US and Argentina, as mental health is a celebrated part of Argentine culture. The purpose of this course is to place psychology in a global perspective, to understand that cultural differences impact behavior and explore through a cross-cultural approach those behaviors and mental processes that may be universal. Students will examine and critically analyze theories associated with multiculturalism and diversity as well. In addition to participating in amazing cultural activities in Buenos Aires, students will also have an overnight trip to Uruguay. Psychology majors and BCN majors can use this course to fulfill certain major requirements and should consult with their academic advisor.
