Students can make exceptional strides in their language learning with a full load of Arabic language classes in Jordan’s capital. Experienced faculty and staff, Jordanian roommates, and Arabic language partners create a supportive and immersive community. Students take a Modern Standard Arabic course, Jordanian Dialect, and two content-based Arabic language courses. All summer students take a Modern Standard Arabic course and a Jordanian Dialect course and uphold a full-time Arabic language pledge. Enjoy the opportunity to experience full immersion, practice language skills in context, and participate in academic excursions in Amman, as well as regional overnight trips.
Internship Track: This program focuses on language and offers internships! Well-connected staff in Amman help students land an internship with an organization that best fits their interests. Semester and academic-year students take part in an internship placement, an internship seminar course, an Arabic language course, and an elective course in Middle East studies (taught in English). Summer internship students take part in an internship placement and an internship seminar course, an Arabic language course, and a Jordanian dialect course. No previous language experience is required to participate in the internship track.
