As 2015 draws to a close, we at the Center for Global and Intercultural Study are grateful for a successful year of working with incredible UM students and collaborating with wonderful colleagues on and off campus.
Here are just a few announcements to get us all through to the New Year. Please share with students as you are able.
Holiday Office Hours
The CGIS office will be closed on Thursday, December 24 (Christmas Eve) and Friday, December 25 (Christmas Day). The office will also be closed the entire week from Monday, December 28 through Friday, January 1 (New Year's Day). We will reopen on Monday, January 4, 2016. In case of emergency, contact the Department of Public Safety at 734.763.1131.
Ready, Set, Go Global Schedule
Ready, Set, Go, Global sessions are offered in our office every day that classes are in session. The last RSGG session this fall is Monday, December 14, 2015. RSGG sessions resume on Wednesday, January 6, 2016
Save the Date: CGIS Photo Contest
Everyone is invited to the CGIS Photo Contest Reception on Thursday, January 7, 4–5pm in the CGIS Office. Bring yourself and a friend or 2 to this year’s reception. We’ll have great snacks and a good time together. We will announce winners and give out prizes at 4:15. All are welcome—bring friends and family.
Spring/Summer and Fall 2016 Deadlines
Applications to our spring/summer 2016 programs are due either on January 15 or February 1, and applications to our Fall 2016 and Academic Year 2016–17 programs are due on February 1. Search all of our programs on the CGIS website and pick up our new catalog at locations all around central campus.
