Don't Forget To Pack: Adapters
Best Left At Home: Toiletries
Best Eats in the Area: La Pepita - tapas restaurant that adds a lot of salt to their dishes, so be warned, Cafeteria Boheme - coffee shop and bakery right by UAB school, very cheap food and super local, Xurreria Trebol - amazing churro place in Gracia neighborhood
Favorite Local Activity: Hiking the nearby areas and discovering new coffeeshops
Where to Study: Santagloria right by UAB! The workers are so nice and welcoming, and the coffee and food is very budget-friendly
Must-Try Local Dish: Croquettes, paella, jamon iberico, patatas brava, Galician-style octopus, calcots and romesco
Best Photo Op: Parc Guell, FC Barcelona game, anywhere in Barcelona at sunset
Your Biggest Fail: Packing too much on trips, you need much less than you think, and if you pack less, you forget about/lose less stuff
Buy This: Postcards as souvenirs so that you can journal on them, 3 month metro card is a must
Not That: Club tickets - there are so many free clubs on certain days if you look at promoter websites, travelling every weekend - I traveled almost every weekend and wish I didn't and even regret some of my trips, so don't worry if you are just taking your travels slow
Most Interesting Class: Modernisme Architecure: Sketch and Explained
Best Part of the Program: The cooking and dance classes!
Unforgettable Weekend Trips: Paris, Morocco, London, South of France
Bonus Pro Tip/s: You need a zipped purse / fanny pack to hold your things because of pickpocketing. It's no joke! Also, would recommend just wandering Barcelona and discovering new places spontaneously. My favorite restaurants, coffeeshops, and hangout spots I stumbled upon by chance. It's also a great way to discover more of Barcelona.
