CGIS stands for the Center for Global and Intercultural Study. Our social identities place each of us within overlapping social and cultural circles, and as such we all experience some degree of intercultural interaction almost daily, whether here in the US or abroad.

Working in the field of global education, we are dedicated to learning about and fostering understanding among different cultures. As an office, CGIS is committed to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we believe that the need to continue educating ourselves, to listen and learn about communities that need our allyship, is vital. It is our hope that through knowledge, we can identify ways to take action. Below you will find articles that the CGIS staff have been sharing with each other.

If you'd like to contribute to this list, please email CGIS at cgis@umich.edu
