Presents an overview of problems encountered through the unwise use of water resources and the resultant impact on society through the analysis of case studies. An introduction to the hydrological cycle and principles of surface and groundwater hydrology is provided.
Course Requirements:
Quizzes and Exam will be given through Canvas. The final grade will be based both on quizzes (50%) and Exam (50%). Quizzes will be open for 48 hours, the Exam for at least 72 hours, possibly longer. Students will be given half an hour to take quizzes and an hour and a half to take the Exam.
Intended Audience:
Undergraduate students who are interested in water resources.
Class Format:
Minicourse, meets for one hour twice weekly for half the term.
