Course Objective

The objective of this course is to introduce students who are not acting majors to the basic techniques of acting for the camera through the use of video. Fundamental acting principles will be presented with an emphasis on exercise and scene work. Material for scenes will utilize a mix of selected dramatic material and film scripts. Both single camera and multiple camera recording will be used on most of the various exercises and scenes. An overview of the film/video industry will also be incorporated.
