This course surveys scholarship in International Political Economy, covering trade, foreign investment, exchange rates, capital flows, immigration, and the environment. To explain policy outcomes and global order, we examine domestic political interests, organization, and institutions, as well as international institutions, interactions, and structural forces. This is the third course (out of four) in the World Politics Proseminar sequence; prior courses in this sequence are not a prerequisite. This course will meet in the first half of the Winter semester.
