Advisory Prerequisites:
Prior or concurrent enrollment in CHEM 230 or 260, and concurrent enrollment in CHEM 242.

This course counts toward the 60 credits of math/science required for a Bachelor of Science degree.
Repeatability:
May not be repeated for credit.

Description

CHEM 241 is an introductory analytical chemistry course and is often taken in conjunction with the companion laboratory course, CHEM 242.

Introduction to the chemical basis of both classical wet analysis methods and modern instrumental analysis methods.

Course emphasizes statistical methods and the analytical applications of equilibria, electrochemistry, spectroscopy, and radioactivity.
