Introduction to Human Anatomy (online) is an asynchronous, introductory anatomy course. This online human anatomy course introduces students to fundamental anatomical concepts
using a systems-based approach and a vast library of multimedia materials. The course is divided into four assessment blocks that include: 1) Neuroanatomy, 2) Musculoskeletal and Integumentery anatomy, 3) Cardiovascular, Respiratory and Renal anatomy and 4) Reproductive, Gastrointestinal and Endocrine anatomy. All course materials (lecture videos) are available for the entire span of the course. Supplemental laboratory videos are included but not assessed on the exams. The required textbook for this course is any edition of "Principles of Human Anatomy" by Gerard J. Tortora and Mark Nielsen. Students are expected to view the course materials and actively engage with their peers and faculty via Piazza. Exams
are administered via Canvas and are open for 12 hours on the scheduled day.
