Description

POLISH 121 is an introductory course presenting basic grammatical information and vocabulary. Completing the course will enable you to say who you are, where you are from, how old you are, and what you do for a living. Also, you will be able to describe your family, interests, say what other people are like, and furthermore, elicit and understand similar information from others. Course is geared toward active language use through oral drills and conversational practice. Conversations and discussions include a cultural component to familiarize you with both Polish language and culture. You will develop basic cultural and survival skills like using appropriate forms of addressing people of different age, table manners, simple telephone conversations, as well as shopping and ordering in a café or restaurant.
