Description

Introduction to Polish language and culture. Immerse yourself in Polish culture, develop basic cultural and survival skills, and master the art of complaining: from daily greetings to responding to compliments.

Students enrolled in Polish language courses in the fall term are eligible for competitive scholarships ($500) toward continued language study. More information here: https://lsa.umich.edu/slavic/undergraduate-students/scholarships/polish-scholarship.html

Intended Audience:

This course welcomes entirely online participation. Section 001 is for students who are able to attend in-person class meetings. Students who are unable to return to campus or be present in person should register for section 002.

Class Format:

Instruction will be synchronous but asynchronous option will be considered or additional meetings scheduled for students unable to attend regular meetings. Grading will be synchronous and asynchronous. Students will take tests in class, do take home projects, and use work book.
