BLI Small Grants — 2021/2022

Fall 2022 Application dates will be announced in the BLI Newsletter and posted here in early fall

BLI Small Grants are intended to (1) stimulate learning about leadership through practice, (2) encourage and support student initiative, and (3) seed innovative projects that will contribute to the Institute, campus community, and/or society.

With a speedy review process, small grants give BLI members the opportunity to receive up to $500 to support short-term, or one-off projects or events. Funds may also be used to support individual or student organization initiatives. Applications will be reviewed in the order received, and applicants will be notified of a decision within one week of receipt.

Student Eligibility

The BLI Small Grant is available to all BLI Members enrolled in the Leadership Lab, Leadership Fellows and Advanced Leadership Fellows.

A student may only apply for one BLI Small Grant per semester. It is permissible to apply more than one Small Grant for the same project in different semesters. We also encourage students who receive small grants to apply for the BLI Project Grant (up to $2000) or Capstone (up to $15,000) to further their projects.
