Mindful Leader Retreat - October 2021

Learning to Lead with Compassion: A Mindful Leadership Retreat

The Mindful Leader Fall Retreat is an annual, 3-day introduction and overview of the concepts and practices of mindful leadership, the Mindful Mindset, mindful and contemplative practices, and peace leadership.

This offsite, all-inclusive retreat offers participants a wide range of transformative experiences and activities, including contemplative art and creative writing activities, meditation sessions, mindfulness, peace and social justice leadership-related small group discussions, and other contemplative practices and activities.

The retreat is open to all BLI fellows (students who have completed ALA 170/175/174, including those currently enrolled in ALA 175 Foundations of Leadership)

Preference will be given to those students that are also applying for the Mindful Leader Fellowship, a six-month, paid opportunity that offers participants a deeper and sustainable learning engagement and training opportunity with the BLI Habits, mindfulness and contemplative practices, the Mindful Mindset, and peace leadership.

The retreat is held over Fall break (October 15-18, 2021) at the Holley Family Village Retreat Center, situated on 214 acres in the quiet woodlands in the Irish Hills of Michigan, overlooking beautiful Vineyard Lake.

Transportation, catered meals and lodging (onsite) are provided to all participants.
