Workshop

Sounds Like . . .

In this generative workshop, we will explore the nature of sound in your poems. You will learn specific techniques around incorporating sound and using line and sentence structure to emphasize sound in your drafts. There will be plenty of music, experimentation, and vocalization exercises to help you think through the fun of music in your poems. Poets like Nathaniel Mackey, Tracie Morris, Cathy Park Hong, Allen Ginsberg, Kazim Ali, and many more will guide us along the way.
