Dr. Ioanna Psaradaki is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Michigan, department of Astronomy. She obtained a PhD in Astrophysics in the summer of 2021 from the University of Amsterdam and SRON, the Netherlands Institute for Space Research. She holds a bachelor and master's degree in physics from the University of Crete, Greece. Her primary research area focuses on laboratory experiments and high-resolution X-ray and UV spectroscopy of interstellar dust. In the past she worked on optical polarimetry of molecular cloud dust filaments, and accretion disk properties of low mass X-ray binaries. In November 2022 she joined the Science Team of the upcoming X-ray imaging and spectroscopic mission, XRISM, as a Guest Scientist (XGS).
