“Building Opportunities at the Center for Astrophysics”

In this conversation, I will describe programs I have helped organize and build at the Center for Astrophysics. The programs provide opportunities for underserved populations of minoritized students at the undergraduate and graduate level. I will focus on the design of these programs from building partnerships with external organizations to the day-to-day programmatic aspects. I will touch on practices that have and have not worked, with specific focus on those practices that help build and strengthen a student's STEM identity.
