The Michigan Journal of Asian Studies (MJAS) is a student-led academic journal at the University of Michigan that aims to cultivate student discourse on cultural, economic, and social affairs in Asia. With limited opportunity for undergraduate publication in the field of Asian studies, MJAS provides students the opportunity to publish their scholarly works in a peer-reviewed online academic journal. MJAS seeks to provide a space for students interested in Asian Studies to engage in cross-cultural scholarship and to enhance knowledge and leadership in the field of Asian Studies.

The MJAS community is committed to contributing to the larger community of scholarship through an open-access platform. At the Michigan Journal of Asian Studies, we strive to foster a high level of academic achievement and promote intellectually rigorous discourse in the field of Asian studies. We welcome submission from all disciplines and from around the globe as they pertain to Asia. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis.

We are specifically seeking submissions related to South Asia and South East Asia. If you or someone you know has produced any original work in these areas, we invite you to submit to our journal!

Fall 2020 Issue Submission Deadline: Friday, October 16, 2020 at 11:59 PM EST. Check out the MJAS website for more information on submission requirements.
